RESOLVER builds a Multiple Structural Alignment (MSTA) from a library of pairwise alignments by
selecting the most optimal set of conflict-free residue equivalences. The selection procedure is carried out by implementing the integer linear programming formulation of the maximum weight trace problem by Reinert et al. (Reinert, K., Lenhof, H.-P., Mutzel, P., Mehlhorn, K. and Kececioglu, J. 1997. In Proceedings of the First Annual International Conference on Computational Molecular Biology (RECOMB-97). ACM Press, New York, pp 241-249.) Available files:. Compressed tar-file with source code for Resolver. Uncompress with tar xfz resolver_20Oct04.tar.z Pdb-files for the 251 SCOP 1.63 families used in a recent comparison of Resolver and T-Coffee Pdb-files for the 76 SCOP 1.63 families for which Resolver failed to build a MSTA in less than 1 CPU hour.
