Protemics:

all you ever wanted to know but didn't dare to ask

This symposium will be held at Vårgård, Saltsjöbaden, overlooking Stockholms Archipelago, Friday the 21st of September 2001. The full day programme includes two well-known invited speakers, with the remainder being student presentations. Coffee, lunch and a symposium dinner will be available to all participants free of charge. Music/entertainment will be organised for the evening. The total number of participants will be 120-150. The symposium will be free of charge for Ph.D. students, but application for the symposium is also open for tutors and groupleaders.

Part of the programme also includes a poster session (with beer/wine served) and all participants are encouraged to submit abstracts for poster presentations. As this symposium is being organised to give students a chance to present and discuss their results with other students or speakers, your participation is needed!!

To further encourage presentation of your results orally or in poster-format there will be a scholarship for best presentaion and poster.

The symposium will be divided in two sessions, one from a molecular biology perspective and the other with emphasis on protein chemistry. Two authorities in the field will open each session.
